Site Controls Joins the GridWise Alliance On-Demand Energy and Asset Management Pioneer Shares the GridWise Vision of AUSTIN, Texas – June 12, 2006 Site Controls, the pioneer of on-demand energy and asset management solutions, today announced that it has been accepted as a member of the GridWise™ Alliance. The GridWise Alliance is a consortium of public and private stakeholders who have joined together in a collaborative effort to provide innovative, real-world technology solutions to support the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) vision of a transformed national electric system. The Alliance members share the DOE’s vision and recognize that emerging energy and information technologies have the potential to radically improve the efficient use of the nation's energy system, providing significant benefits to system owners and operators and energy consumers. “We are excited to welcome Site Controls into the GridWise Alliance,” said Steven Hauser, executive director of the GridWise Alliance. “Site Controls’ philosophy and technology approach fit nicely with the GridWise mission of using information technology to help revolutionize the energy industry. We look forward to their contributions to the GridWise mission.” Designed for multi-site chains, Site Controls’ energy information system is an open and extensible platform that provides real-time visibility and control over thousands of assets and sites—all through standard browsers or PDAs. The standard energy management application alone generates enough monthly energy savings to completely pay for the platform implementation in eighteen to twenty-four months. Customers can create additional on-going savings or improve business efficiency through options like intelligent demand control ventilation, preventative maintenance alerts for assets like HVACs and pumps, or custom monitoring of business-critical assets. For energy emergencies, the intelligent load management option provides the completely unique ability to rapidly reduce peak usage without impacting the user experience or requiring any on-site generation. “As a company founded on the idea of using information technology to provide a quantum leap in energy and asset management, Site Controls is honored to join the GridWise Alliance,” said Mike Frost, chief executive officer of Site Controls. “We look forward to working with the Alliance to help make our joint vision a reality. # # # # About the GridWise Alliance About Site Controls, LLC Contacts: Steve Widergren Kellie Thomas |
