Site Controls and Ecolab Team to Take Energy Management and Operational Intelligence Solutions to Ecolab’s Global Customers

AUSTIN, TX – September 27, 2007 Site Controls, LLC, a premium provider of enterprise-based energy management, operational intelligence, and grid efficiency solutions announced today that it has entered into a joint venture agreement with Ecolab, Inc. (NYSE: ECL)

Under the terms of the agreement, Ecolab has made a minority investment to facilitate the continued extension of the Site Controls platform.  Additionally, Site Controls and Ecolab have formed a jointly-owned company to deliver Site Controls solutions to Ecolab’s customers.

The Site Controls service, provided via a hosted data center, is a solution that enables centralized visibility, remote monitoring, and control across all customer locations.  This closed-loop, enterprise-wide system creates a distributed base for electrical load aggregation and control, allowing Site Controls to intelligently reduce power consumption during periods of peak demand and enabling participation in demand response programs.
